MedYou Terms of Service
Last updated: 27 June 2026
These Terms of Service are the agreement between you and MedYou for use of the MedYou patient app, patient portal, clinic-linking features, and healthcare communication tools. MedYou is provided by MedProAI (Ireland). By creating a MedYou account, you confirm that you have read and accept these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
1. MedYou is not emergency care
MedYou is software for patient access, clinic communication, appointment support, record viewing, forms, reminders, and related healthcare administration. MedYou does not provide emergency services. If you believe you may have a medical emergency, call your local emergency number immediately.
2. Healthcare services disclaimer
MedYou does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, prescribing, or clinical triage. Healthcare decisions are made by you and qualified healthcare professionals. Messages, summaries, results, generated information, and reminders in MedYou are informational unless your clinician expressly tells you otherwise.
3. Your account and identity
You must provide accurate information, keep your login credentials secure, and only use MedYou for yourself or for a family member or dependent you are authorised to support. Tell your clinic or MedYou support promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
4. Clinic linking and records
MedYou may let you connect with clinics, family members, appointments, messages, documents, lab results, prescriptions, invoices, and other health-related information. Access depends on the clinic, your relationship to the patient, verification, consent, and applicable law. Some records may be delayed, incomplete, corrected, restricted, or unavailable.
5. Privacy and health data
MedYou processes personal data and health information to provide the app, connect you with clinics, sync records, deliver notifications, support security, and improve reliability. Details are set out in the Privacy Policy, including the section on the MedYou patient app. By creating an account, you consent to secure electronic communication and storage of your information as described there.
6. Communications and notifications
You may receive in-app messages, email, push notifications, SMS, or other communications related to your account, clinic activity, appointments, results, billing, family links, and security. You can manage non-essential notifications in settings, but some service or safety messages may still be sent.
7. Payments and billing
If billing features are available, payment amounts, refunds, insurance handling, and financial responsibility are controlled by your clinic or payment provider unless MedYou clearly states otherwise. MedYou is not responsible for clinical charges or insurance decisions made by third parties.
8. Acceptable use
Do not misuse MedYou, attempt to access another person’s information without authorisation, interfere with security, upload unlawful or harmful content, impersonate another person, or use MedYou in a way that could disrupt clinics, patients, or the service.
9. Automation
MedYou may use automated tools to organise information, draft summaries, assist search, prepare forms, support reminders, or help clinics respond. Generated output may be inaccurate or incomplete and must not be used as a substitute for professional medical judgment.
10. Changes, suspension, and termination
MedYou may update the app and these Terms, suspend access for safety, security, legal, or misuse reasons, and stop providing features where required. If material terms change, we will provide notice where appropriate. You can permanently delete your account at any time from inside the app (Me → Login & security → Delete account).
11. Contact
Questions about these Terms, privacy, access, or your account should be sent through MedYou support or your connected clinic. These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland.
